Moving Forward

In Gospel Choir we are starting on a new song called Moving Forward.

I just wanted to look at the lyrics in sections:

"Not going back

I'm moving ahead

I'm here to declare to you

My past is over

I'm in you all things are made new

Surrender my life to Christ

I'm moving, moving forward"

I have had a lot of struggles in my past and made a lot of mistakes like I'm sure everyone in the world has. But the important thing is to move forward because you can't change your past, you can only change your future. Sometime I try to go back to the things of the past but the thing is, the past is the past for a reason. I don't believe you should forget where you came from but you shouldn't lose sight of where you're going.

Many people resent Christ and "religion" because they think it is just all about rules. What people miss is that God isn't about rules, he is about freedom! Freedom to love, freedom to worship Him because He is worthy. He is a healer who changes the hearts of people all over the world and we should praise Him.

God is all about second chances and I am so thankful for that. He forgives and forgets. It is almost impossible for people to do that but God is so amazing that he forgives us even though we don't deserve any of it. Hallelujah means praise God! I love singing that because I feel connected to Christians in the past who sang Hallelujah to the very same God that I praise.
I pray that I will leave my past behind and follow Christ forward
