Love God. Love People.

I guess this is what I get when I pray for you to break my heart for what breaks yours. How could we be so evil and cruel? Why do we hate and not love? Love is a choice but it seems like the world is choosing the wrong thing. Immediate satisfaction opposed to true joy and love from the maker of the world... How does that make sense? Show us what you've done for us. Wash us clean, purify us. It's like there's this incredible amount of love and joy that is offered to us but we don't even care. It breaks my heart that we don't realize every sin we commit drives those nails through your hands and feet. You died for this? We are not worthy. Grace is unfair. Your love doesn't make sense, it's crazy. We disobey you then say we won't do it again but that's all a lie. We don't love you like we should, LORD. Please allow me to serve you. Bless me with the ability and opportunity to praise your name & let me not let you down. Show me how to love you and how to love people. You, yourself, said those were the most important commands. It was true then and it's true now. Father this world is broken. I see it all around me. Everyone is running circles trying to find something that will help them make it through the night but that crap lets us down EVERY time. Show us that. Show us the mistakes that we make and how they are killing us. This world is so dark and instead of searching for the light we have just tried to invent night vision goggles for everyone or try to just adjust to the darkness. Darkness is NOT good. It is lonely, it is full of disappoint, and it is hatred. Bring this world out of the darkness with your incredible, beautiful light. LORD I am only one little flashlight in this world I can't do it on my own. Build up your army of lights and let the light overcome the darkness so that we may live in peace, for you are the God of peace. I thank you for forgiving the unworthy and for loving the unjust. Please let me rest in your love and peace.
