"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."
Eccl. 3:1-8
I mean, holy smokes. There is a time for everything! A time to plant and a time to uproot, God doesn't always just call us to do one thing, he uses us in so many different ways to bring him glory! There is a time to weep and a time to laugh, you can't be serious all the time and you can't be goofy all the time, there must be a medium. It is okay to cry and to be upset, but don't let your weeping consume you. Don't make sadness an idol. There is even a time to give up. We are NOT God. Everything is NOT in our control. Sometimes we need to just let go and let God. There is a time to be silent and a time to speak. God wants us to be listeners and to meditate on his great love. There are somethings that we also need to speak up about.
The list just goes on and on! How great is our God?! How amazing is Yahweh whom we put all our hope and trust because nothing in this world can or will EVER satisfy us. God is perfect and he is never changing. He won't love us one day and forgive us for our sins and the next day say JUST KIDDING! I hate you and will never forgive me. Don't get me wrong, he has all the power to do such things. But, the beauty of it all is that he doesn't do that. He forgives us. He defines grace and mercy. We are so ungrateful and so forgetful of why we are even on earth. We are here to love. We are here to praise our maker and to rejoice in him TOGETHER. We aren't here to just simply try to survive, we were created for a greater and more beautiful plan. Once we submit to God's will he will use us in extraordinary ways that we could have never dreamed of. God made us ordinary people so that we can see really how extraordinary he really is. I am so thankful that we have a creator who made us with a purpose and who loves us unconditionally. We don't deserve any of it, but that's why it is so beautiful.
